100's Day

Wow! We have been at school for 100 days!

On Wednesday we had a celebration day.

We did lots of 100day activities. Check out our video!

Safety On The Computer

This week we are learning about computer safety. In Room 2 we have computer safety rules
We ask permission to use the Computers
We only use sites that are saved on our 'favourites'
We look after our computers
We take turns using the computer
If there is a problem with the computer we leave it alone and tell the teacher
An adult is in our room when we are on the computers


Have you discussed computer safety with your children?
It is important to establish the ground rules when they are young.
Keep your computer in your living area and check the sites your children are going in to. It's good to have your computer protected by a security site that filters out unwanted sites.

Safety is Number One

We began the term learning about road safety. We practiced crossing our local Tawa streets. Then Vicki from Animal Management told us how to be safe around dogs. She told us that when a dog is chasing us we have to stand still and that if we don't know a dog we leave it alone.

We have been learning about the value' Respect'

Our value for the last few weeks has been RESPECT.
We have been talking about what RESPECT looks like in our class room.
These are some of Room 2's comments.
We care for people, we are kind.
We take care of people.
We look after every thing in Room 2.
We give people space.
We don't touch the teacher's things.
We are good at listening to each other.
We use our manners.
We take turns.
Well done Room 2 children! We know all about RESPECT.

Jesus Games

We have had fun playing games that Jesus would have played when he was little.

We are learning about what life was like when Jesus was a boy.

We had a special meal and ate the food Jesus would have eaten. We enjoyed tasting different types of food. Mrs A apologises for the music, she is still learning!
